Existence of three solutions for a class of quasilinear elliptic systems involving the $p(x)$-Laplace operator
The aim of this paper is to obtain three weak solutions for the Dirichlet quasilinear elliptic systems on a bonded domain. Our technical approach is based on the general three critical points theorem obtained by Ricceri.
متن کاملExistence, Uniqueness and Stability of Positive Solutions to Sublinear Elliptic Systems
Reaction–diffusion systems are used to model many chemical and biological phenomena in the natural world [25, 26], and systems of coupled partial differential equations are also used in other physical models such as nonlinear Schrödinger systems in multi-component Bose–Einstein condensates and nonlinear optics [19, 23]. The steady-state solutions or standing-wave solutions of such systems of no...
متن کاملA necessary and sufficient minimality condition for uncertain systems
A necessary and sufficient condition is given for the exact reduction of systems modeled by linear fractional transformations (LFT’s) on structured operator sets. This condition is based on the existence of a rank-deficient solution to either of a pair of linear matrix inequalities which generalize Lyapunov equations; the notion of Gramians is thus also generalized to uncertain systems, as well...
متن کاملA necessary and sufficient condition for existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions for a p-Laplacian Liénard equation
In this work, we investigate the following p-Laplacian Liénard equation: (φp(x (t))) + f(x(t))x(t) + g(x(t)) = e(t). Under some assumption, a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions of this equation is given by using Manásevich–Mawhin continuation theorem. Our results improve and extend some known results.
متن کاملA necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of symmetric positive solutions of higher-order boundary value problems
where n≥ is an integer, f : (, )× (,∞)→ [,∞) is continuous, αi, βi are nonnegative constants, α i + αiβi > , i = , . . . ,n. f (t,u) may be singular at u = , t = (and/or t = ). If a function u : [, ]→ R is continuous and satisfies u(t) = u( – t) for t ∈ [, ], then we say that u(t) is symmetric on [, ]. By a symmetric positive solution of BVP (.) we mean a symmetric functi...
